Austin area, help the directionally challenged

Hubs is heading down to Cabela's in the Buda area on Saturday, I thought I'd get him to drop me off at the Lady Bird Johnson center since Cabela's isn't really my thing.

I've looked at both sites but I can't figure out how to get from one place to the other. Can someone help me out, we're coming from NW, we know how to get to Cabela's directly, it's the side trip that's giving me trouble.

And yes, I'm bringing the camera.

The center is south of loop 1 and W. Slaughter Ave. west of I-35, in south Austin.

Use Slaughter Ave. west from I-35, to loop 1, then south on loop 1, to La Crosse, and turn left. Follow La Crosse to the center.

Buda is pretty much straight down I-35 south, from Austin. Cabela's is right on I-35.
