Fig Tree

Ever since we moved into our current house, I noticed what I thought was a fig tree growing at the edge of the woods at the end of our alley. I always figured if it was a fig tree, the animals would have eaten the fruit. Well, the other day I was driving up the alley and noticed fruit on that tree. I stopped and picked a few figs and they are delicious! Now I want to plant one my my yard - or maybe just keep getting those figs from that tree. I think that whoever lived in the house at the end of the alley must have planted it years ago and they have since moved. I plan to keep picking them as they get ripe. I also told one of my neighbors about it and I'm sure they will be down there picking figs too. I don't know why I didn't check it out sooner!
