Austin folks...help needed!

Can anyone there suggest a plumber who isn't trying to make enough to retire his first year in business or a just out of prison bank robber who decided to switch careers. I have a sweet widowed friend in Austin who badly needs a plumber to repair small, easily accessed leak under her house.

This is what he one she called told her:

"$258/hour and then if there were a problem it would be $758. for the next three hours and then his rate would drop to $100./hr."

Recommendations appreciated! Thanks!!!

WOW, that's insane! DH is a master plumber in the DFW area and only charges $85/hour labor. He considers himself a dying breed of diagnosticians (figure out what the problem is, then fix it) rather than a part-swapper (someone who replaces part after part, racking up the bill, until the problem's found).

I hope jolana was able to hook you up with a good plumber :)

Rick that is true and I haven't heard that word in a long, long while. When I was young I heard it a lot, lol
