Carol, Wimberley was 14 miles down the road from our old house and at that time there were places to eat that were great but now I don't think so
In San Marcos we seem to always end up at the River Pub just because we don't eat burgers much and they used to have a good burger (probably still do) and they are right on the river
Palmers is good and I like the courtyard. They had good seafood and the kids love every pasta dish they have ordered
The are plenty restaurants around the square and the river You could do what DS does and when he gets to a town he looks to see where the cars are all at during meal times, lol
