I find it even more appalling that the CDC cleared her for flying even though she told them she had a low grade fever.

I can't understand that either ... Nor the other health care worker who was involved and went on a cruise!

It seems that people are just programed to go ahead and do what's on their agenda and execute their normal procedures. It takes a while for 'reality' to sink in.

I read that they were planning on having the health care workers sign an agreement not to travel. I didn't watch the news yet today though.

My heart goes out to all who are suffereing.

Unless she was kissing, spitting or bleeding over the other passengers, it is not that big a deal. This virus is not airborne - it is only transmitted by bodily fluids.

Folks are tending to become unnecessarily alarmst about this. Read up on it.

I have a feeling that fear increases based on proximity to 'ground zero'. This is happening here.

It has been determined that sneezing, coughing or vomiting and the little droplets that are released each time this happens can live in the "air" for ninety minutes........long enough for any health care giver to get infected if their face masks aren't thick enough to keep these droplets out. I think there is much we don't know about this virus, and I agree with Pam...........ground zero tends to make one a little more aware of it.
