Watering transplanted trees

How well do those watering bags work for transplanted tree? I will be planting trees away from the house and need to get them through the summer drought. Any other suggestions for watering new trees? Thank you.

a newly planted tree should never dry out, but you should take care to not overwater (as is my biggest downfall in this tight black clay that I have). Although I haven't tried the bags (or needed to), the concept sounds ok. Moist but not soggy will be your goal.
