Live in Austin, Anyone?

I've not posted here in ages. This summer had me watering by hand for about two hours every night after work, so that was my "life" until we got these wonderful fall rains.

Anyway, I'm looking for another Austinite who might be interested in going to garden nurseries, garden tours, or even garage sales/thrift stores looking for garden "stuff" occasionally.

I recently went to the Austin garden tour sponsored by the Travis County Master Gardeners, and I couldn't find anyone to go with me. I asked four people from work, but no one I know personally is as interested in gardening as I am. I enjoyed the tour, but it's more fun if you go with someone.

Welcome back, I did notice haven't seen you around in a while. I'm fortunate in that my mate is as big a gardener as I am, we met at a plant trade! Austin has great garden centers if I was closer I'd jump on the opportunity. My co-workers have no interest in gardening, they all call me the plant lady and turf plant calls to me.
Have fun!

Thanks, Beachplant. I actually met up with Jolana this weekend and we had a great time running around Austin. I hope to do it again and if anyone else wants to join in, let me know. If you have never met Jolana, she is the NICEST person. I had SO much fun.

Lucky you that you met your husband at a plant swap...

I've thought about you often Tally. How is Galveston and how is your yard specifically?

We had a great day, Red is still just as nice as ever!!!!
Don't worry tho, I'll have her posting like people on other forums in no time, LMBO

Hey Tally is the cold front going to make it to Galveston?
