WANTED: West Texas

I live in the Abilene Texas area and it is dry and powdery soil. I am willing to put in the work if you could tell me what flowers, shrubs that floeer and fruit bearing, or flowering trees will thrive here? I sure appreciate the feedback.

Hi BeccaLou1966! This forum doesn't get much traffic compared to the main forum which is 'Discussions'. Put your question on there and someone with knowledge of your area is more likely to see it and have some answers for you. Click 'Discussions' at the top of this opening page. Happy gardening!

RE: WANTED: West Texas

BeccaLou,
there is a poster who lives further up in the panhandle. He posts mostly in the Texas Gallery.
He told me he can not garden like we do in the rest of the state. He follows the Oklahoma forum because it is more suited to his zone.

Here is a link that might be useful: Oklahoma Forum
