Slightly off-topic, but I just got a Texas Star Hibiscus from a local nursery and would love any tips on harvesting the seeds.

To harvest just let them dry on the plant. When they turn brown and are kinda crunchy they are ready to be harvested. Just take the pods in your hand and squeeze slightly and they will pop open and you can get the seeds out.

I have Texas Star hibiscus seeds, and also another one that I call Trudi's pink hibiscus, (after Trudi of wintersowing fame) that she calls halberd-leaved mallow, if you'd like any. Carol
