HAVE: Allen Plant Swap

The Allen Garden Club along with the Friends of the Allen Public Library are sponsoring a plant and seed swap on Saturday, October 13th at the Allen Public Library in their courtyard. This event is our first city-wide plant swap and we are helping our library celebrate 40 years in Allen. The Allen Garden Club will provide free refreshments and door prizes. Please bring your divisions and cuttings in containers. Iris and daylily plants are okay bareroot as long as they were dug that week. Seeds should be in envelopes or ziplock type of bag and labeled. Please label your plants. Bring empty flats or boxes to carry home your new plants. This is a free event and is a great way to get new plants for your garden.

I'm bringing seeds, flame acanthus, buffalo currant, daylily hybrids, pink yarrow, native passionvine, and more. The other garden club members always have lots of nice plants to share too.

Directions to the Allen Public Library from Highway 75: Exit onto McDermott and go east. Get into the left lane. Turn left on Allen Drive. Go past 4-way stop at Main Street. The library is just about another block down on your right. Parking is in the back and north side. We hope to see you there!
