RE: WANTED: Any cuttings of House Eating Rose type in the Housto

Hello AETL,

Are you sure it's Lady Banks you are looking for? Have you ever seen one fully grown? It will make a stand, but not much height. Hmm, are you sure wouldn't you be interested in a climbing rose? If so, Cecile Brunner, Cl might be one to check into.

I didn't do my homework. I wanted a climber to go over a roof and got Old Blush, Cl and Zephrine Drouhin, Cl. Drats. Might have got the wrong one.

I've started cuttings of ZD to that I plan to put over a chain link fence. Good luck on your search. This is a good time to go see The Antique Rose Emporium. Everything should be blooming there.
