WANTED: North Texas seed savers

Posted by seedandsalvage none (My Page) on

I'm looking for North Texas seeds savers with heirloom vegetable varieties that have been found or passed along for several years. I am writing an article for DFW Edible magazine on seed saving and would like to hear from anyone who has stories on saving heirloom vegetable varieties.

RE: WANTED: North Texas seed savers

Sarah, I'm sure your article has already been written and published, but are you familiar with Baker Creek Seeds?. If not, it is an education just to get one of their catalogs. I have saved some seeds from their chard - Verde de Taglio. I also saved seeds from an heirloom Marion tomato last year. I currently have new plant starts from each.
