Precious! No weed competition at all and solid rock mulch giving it extra warmth early in the season. Smart plant. Makes me smile too. (Hope the hole goes down a ways.)

I have a daffodil that always comes up through a planter that I moved around a few years ago. So far it has never been able to get enough energy to flower, but, it hangs in. Maybe this is the year?
