Thanks, Carrie. We were always told that columbine would not grow here. I guess the newer seeds are different. They don't live but a couple years. I scatter new seeds every couple years. These lavender are breath taking.

What kind of poppies?
I planted poppy seeds, but they are just starting to come up.
I probably waited too late.
My iris doesn't look close to blooming yet.
Our last freeze did a number on a lot of my plants.

I put the poppy seeds in my had and blow on them when they go to seed. I figure mother nature knows a lot more than a seed package. I do that when they begin to fall from the poppy heads. Usually in the summer. This pic. is what a poppy looks like just after it drops the petals.

Once the little "windows" under the cap begin to open you can shake the seeds out. When I have are corn poppies and peony type.

Peony poppy pic from late April 2013.Last year I ordered seeds for other colors. Several friends have given me seeds over the years. I would offer to give you seeds, but it seems when I do that it never happens for one reason or another.

These pics are beautiful. Love the Columbine. We have our in pots but they are not doing as well as yours. They made it through the Winter and have a few blooms but nothing like yours. Very pretty!
