If you're tired of seeing my yard don't look!

I wouldn't blame you in the least if you were tired
of looking at pictures of my yard, but who else am
I going to show them to if not to you? For
instance there's a long thread on the Antique
Rose Forum about how non gardening people
can't really appreciate a densely planted flower
garden, which is pretty much true.. It's titled
"Nobody gives a hoot",.

Well, to start with there are still roses to smell. Meet
'The Dark Lady', a David Austin rose. No signs of
chilli thrips yet ...

One of the new grasses, 'Red buttons fountain grass'
is already blooming. I think the term 'red' was
wishful thinking, but I like it anyway ...

The non fading dark foliage of 'Hopi red' amaranth is coming along nicely; and the flamingo, a Christmas gift from a friend (she covered a set of dining room chairs in trade for it-now that's a real friend) goes well with it ...

This shows the newly planted succulent and ornamental grass area. Max is taking a break from digging for grubs ... sigh. I guess I should be thankful. The holes are not very big and he does find them ...

I painted the trim on the store room a brighter blue. Can you tell? What I won't tell is how many times I painted it before I got the color right. Bob couldn't believe I antiqued the shutters to make them look old ... lol

Sport seems to be looking at the view from his favorite vantage point. Actually, he is daring the squirrel to come down out of the tree while he is on guard :-)
