Firecracker fern

I love this plant so far. The pot I put it in really sets it off perfectly. Now to work on getting it elevated in a bed. Hubby has made an excellent suggestion, which I will work on and post photos of how we do it. I have one in the front bed too. Haven't seen any hummers on it or anywhere else for that matter. But they will be around again once things heat up

I need to figure out a way to elevate the container mine is in also. That is gorgeous, Gail.

The Firecracker fern is just perfect in the dark pot! Thanks for posting the photo.

There's two forms it seems and both are commonly called firecracker 'something'. I just looked them up and the ferny leafed one is Russelia equisetiformis, and one with little round leaves like I have is Russelia rotundifolia. Gonna' put this in my plant name folder because I keep forgetting which is what.

Yes and I am tickled to say it isn't the first time, lol
We have always just had ruby throatt but we have those and black chinned and a lot of activity out there
I had the sprinkler on in the back part of the yard and I loved watching them follow the water this morning
