My guess on the plant is red wiskered clammy weed but a very happy one. They do seed out in the area that it grows in. You will have more than one next year. If you water there, that is a definite.

I cracked my Texas range book and I am guessing that this is Texas Grama AKA Bouteloua rigidiseta. I am not the best at grass ID's. I get the normally available on the trade and the very distinctive ones. I am slowly learning what I have but it is hard. I thought Seep Muhly was Curly Mesquite grass, and others.
