Hawaiian Sunset Vine

| Here is the first bloom on my Hawaiian Sunset vine. It's about 3" across.
Here's the vine...
and here is a leaf, with my hand, for size comparison.

| Jim those leaves are amazing and the flowers the icing on the cake. When did you plant it? And how large was it when you got it? |

| Hey Yall, thanks. Pepa ~~ I planted it last fall. It had a hardwood stem, about 3 feet long, and two little leaves, near the base. It sulked all winter, not putting out any leaves at all. It did put out a few flower buds, but they fell off before opening. Then in mid April, it started new shoots, and has grown like Jack's bean stalk ever since. Some days, I train it twice a day. Now, if it will be as generous with the blooms as it is with leaves, I'll be a happy man. I plan on rooting some cuttings to take to the Mercer swap next fall. Jim |
