I'm cutting the blooms off the 'mimosa' in the back yard before it forms seeds so it will (hopefully) grow faster ... lol The newly planted shoestring acacia was covered in buds and I removed them so it would put its energy into growing. I need trees -- fast!

Rain is always welcome. But, it caused my Spinach to just take off..... around my peacock's crest feathers! It looked so cute, I had to share it.

I'm now looking for a place to move them where they can climb.

We got 2.5" and 2 vortexes over our house on the Nexrad radar. I had to gulp down my Lazagna and cheesecake. VERY SCARY. Our rain tanks are full full full. so I will stop that wine for awhile.

Jolana, thanks for leaving without the shoestring acacia. LOL It's one tree that is growing fast. There are new branches almost a foot long.

Mara, thank goodness the vortex did not touch down at your house! Dang, to see it on radar right over your place IS scary.

Irene, Malabar spinach really takes off in hot weather. Being from Malabar, which is in southern India, it LOVES temps that are hot and steamy.
