It's kind of fun to imagine how those guys used to roam our 'serene country scenes'. There is a place near Tarply, Tx. that we used to stop at with the grandkids on the way to the Rio Frio that had lots of very clear a dinosaur tracks, made by a close relative of T. Rex, in a shallow creek bed. We'd wade among them and especially on a foggy day it felt like one could step out of the woods any minute. Eerie! Thanks for the picture.

One thing is for sure, Roselee, with them roaming around, none of us would be able to feel very serene! We'd look at them and those teeth and think "yikes!" They'd look at us and think "lunch!"

to texasorbust: A little off of gardening thoughts. I just read your referral to Firstus-Fire-Antus. That reminds me that when I read about Armagedden in The Revelation I think that all those frightening horses described there must be fireants that have mutated. Have you seen a magnifed photo of a fireant's face?
