leaves from other yards-- disease or bug source?

I have the opportunity to snag several bags of leaves from a house about two blocks away. Then I wondered, if these leaves were spread 6" - 8" deep all over a section of the back yard where I want to kill weeds and grass, so these leaves would be decomposing slowly and coldly, would they bring bug (tick and flea) eggs or some plant disease into the yard?

It seems if the fall leaves had fungus, mold or plant disease, then my yard would already have it, since the leaves would be coming from only a few blocks off.

Bug eggs however?

Your opinions or experience, please? Thank you.
