Has anybody checked out the best place to get flagstones in San Antonio? We've gotten them from Gardenville in the past, but thought maybe there was a less expensive option with perhaps more choices in shapes and colors.

Roselee - Keller Material near the intersection of 410/Rigsby has a huge selection of flagstone and other landscaping materials. When I just looked at their website it looks like they'll also be opening a second location somewhere on the NE side of San Antonio. I've never compared prices because I haven't bought stone from them, just looked. I think mostly it's by the pound. Hope this helps - Lisa

Craigslist, sometimes you can get small lots for free leftover from large projects. You haul of course but it's always super cheap on CL.

Try looking for any mason supplier that sells rock, patio stones, bulk rock and gravel. The prices are usually by the ton or by a pallet load. . These places are quite numerous. I know of 6 places sw of Austin so there has got to be some in San Antonio. But Craig's list is a great source. Look under the Free section and the building materials section.
