Did you just put your rose cuttings in the bed, or cover them with something, or what? Please tell us if you figure out the unknown bulb that is blooming. My wood hyacinths and narcissus are coming up, but they are not blooming yet.

I kept my rose bands in pots for well over a year, got a little more growth on them before planting. I have a friend that I gave some really small starter rooted roses to, she went home and immediately planted them and they did fine, go figure! I tend to baby my stuff too much...

My daffs haven't formed flowers yet. On the other hand some of my iris's are blooming.

I have daffs,mini daffs and hyacinths peeking through but no blooms yet. The chives are really putting on a lot of growth and look happy!

My carpet of Grape Hyacinths out in the lawn are starting to bloom. Never seen them this early. Some of my March blooming Dafs are now showing color. Such a nice change after the awfull winters we have had the past few years.

The old White bearded Iris' have been blooming on UTA's campus for more than a month! Honestly, they are under trees and seem just as happy as can be. My earliest daffs have been blooming for a while too. I keep telling the tulips that it's a trick and they should slow down. They tell me this weather is heaven and ignore me.

I noticed this afternoon that my cannas are up.. several inches tall.

Our weather is sure crazy. Today was a wonderful day our and I should of been outside, but the house was a mess so I am trying to pick up.

I have a yellow repeat bloome iris blooming, a couple of the cemetery whites. The white iris Cynthia referred to are most likely the same. Not sure of the botanical spe.
The sweet olive tree is in full bloom. A couple gerbera daisies are blooming.
Also some "antique" paperwhites from a 100 + years old homestead on the Blanco river.

Yes, things do seem to be blooming ahead of whatever is 'normal'. My daff's are setting and a jonquil is already in bloom.
