I have seen some at walmart. I am unsure if was a Pierce's disease resistant plant, though.

Muscadine grapes are good to consider for several reasons.

I just bought a Champanel grape at the Lowes in Missouri City. Saw them in Rosenburg, too, so maybe all the Lowes are carrying them. Anyhow, Champanel is an often recommended variety for our area (Pierce disease resistant). Calwell's nursery in Rosenburg lists many varieties of grapes on their website. (I don't know where in Houston you're located...) Like copingwithclay said, muscadines are good too, and many nurseries carry them.

Do they go dormant in the winter? If so I still might have one. I have the green one, I got a Lowes and it seemed to do really well before the winter. Right now it looks like a stick in the ground. Barbra
