the callirhoe is very low, almost a ground cover and can get to 5 ft across. for me it is a moderate self seeder. you might want to put something to transition from the perovskia-tall-to the callirhoe-very short. just saw the one foot wide-definitely not a site for the perovskia.

They can actually work very well together... just not in a 1ft deep bed, as Davids10 already mentioned. Think that's enough sun for the callirhoe/winecup, but don't know about Russian sage as haven't tried it in much less than full sun.
