We're surrounded by two-story houses and would like to get a little privacy so we can enjoy our backyard a little more. I'd like input on which plants others would recommend for us to use here in Dallas. The top of the picture is west and is the most important for getting some good year-round privacy up high. I was thinking that it would be nice to have a spot to focus our gaze for each season, so the northwest (upper right) has winter/Christmas type trees, the southwest has flowering shrubs and a bench underneath some Spring-blooming trees, and the northeast (which gets mid-day sun) has some Fall trees and some lower-to-the-ground and less dense year-round privacy screening.

What do you recommend we consider?
