That sounds like a virus. Are you sure the message is coming from a true virus protection program? If so, what's the name of it?

A lot of times, the virus's themselves are disguised as anti-virus programs. If you have an anti-virus program, it should be very clear if the message is from it or a bogus one.

JimR36, it came from AVG. Yes, I have gotten the false ones that try to get you to click on, but learned to recognize and ignore them.

However, just now when coming on the GW I got a popup from AVG that said it had been a false alarm. Thank goodness that little bother is over with! Sorry to have bothered you all.

I read over on the computer help forum that it's a 'false positive' from AVG...they will likely release an update, or may have already, to stop the reporting of threat.

I always go ahead and do a scan if there's any little thing that even might be wrong. I know what viruses and trojans can do....ugh!

I'm so glad I gave up on Windows, and switched over to Apple. You never have to purchase virus protection software for Apples, and they are healthier for you. Get it?

Ditto for Apple. We have two dells and 1 Apple. The Apple never has a problem.
