I have lots of Bouncing Bet, calvert, and love it. It grows almost anywhere, can be a little invasive if left to it's own, but all in all, a very pretty plant and an evergreen.

No, for me, it was a "pass along" plant and my family has had it for a long time. This that I now have came from a friend, however, and a small start multiplies quickly. Carrie, how tall do they get for you? And how much water do they need? I'm trying to find a groundcover for the front yard that doesn't need much supplemental water and stays pretty short. And spreads nicely but doesn't get invasive. I know, needle-in-a-haystack--to--impossible! :)

It gets taller than most groundcovers, but it does require some water to stay pretty. I don't actually see this as a ground cover as the blooms can also make it taller.....it certainly would not be one you could walk on.
