Does anyone know the difference between 8A and 8B?

There are plants/vines/trees/etc. that will survive in 8B that are marginal at best in 8A. The link below should help you get a better pic of how this is layed out.
Most plants will give a hardiness zone(s) as where it will grow best. Hope this helps.

5 degrees.... The 8a/8b border goes through my living room, as far as I can tell.

Same here..the line seems to split my county (house?) in half...
