| I bought a couple of serviceberrys from Sooner nursery and plan to plant them in my yard for the birds. Does anyone know if they can take full sun or need shade and what their water requirements are. Any information would be helpful. Thank you. |

Hi - I planted a seedling in a pot 2 years ago, in part sun. It has done well and I only water once a week- if it's hot. They are slow growing, I think. I think they are great! The winter foliage and berries are interesting! Good luck - tina_2 |

| Thanks for your reply. I am really excited about planting it. In one of my bird books it said it provides food for about 40 different types of birds so I just had to have one. |
