Persian Lilac

Anyone have this? I know someone has a lilac that bloomed in last year's heat.

Anyway. I found some at Lowe's this afternoon. The tag said it is cold hard to -30 but not how hot it can get and still flower. Tag said morning Sun...I have a spot... .

I read on line and it seems that this is supposed to be OK here but would really like to know from some of you.

BTW I was spoiled by the usual store I go to in Arlington. They have a woman who knows her plants in charge of the dept. This store's most knowledgeable person didn't know what a lilac was.

They also have a Texas Lilac for sale! Guess who that is?

It's a Vitex!!!!

It was Carrie who has a lilac that bloomed last spring. Before the heat set in.

How's yours doing? The Lowes at 35/Valley Ridge has a bunch on the dead rack.. 1/2 price.... they still have life in them... hmmm.. should I get one?

I killed mine. The French lilac I got last June on clearance made it but the buds I thought were flowers to be were leaves. Guess I'm learning....
