| I'm in zone 8a, when should I plant my peas so I miss the hot weather? Can I start them inside now to get a jump on the heat? |

| NOW!!!!!! I started mine(sugar snaps) in October and they grew through the winter. I am eating sugar snaps while I type. I planted more about 4 days ago and they are sprouting. They can take gentle freezes and that is all this winter has given us...Knock on wood. I would plant the peas now. . If you get a cold snap, one can throw some mulch on them or a frost cloth. They will still be small. I would not wait. I am 8b. |
