| They show up here at the Master Gardener fruit tree sales (though they're not a tree), so they must do okay in the Houston area, but I'll bet they need protection from freezes. |

| I think they can take a mild freeze but the early sring freezes kill the blossoms.. I won't atest to that . That is hearsay. There are HARDY kiwi plants (hardy to Z3!) and maybe NON hardy vines. They like rich dirt and moisture so that is why I stay away from them. I found this read below that explains a lot. growing might be one thing, getting fruit might be another. |
