Powder puff aster

Has anyone tried this annual ?

I've read its hardy to zone 9. But most of the people who have discussed/reviewed it live in Michigan or other cooler climates. They say it blooms in late summer and "loves heat"....but I'm thinking, yeah right, to them "heat" is 85 degrees. :)

Any feedback?

I do not know but Michigan gets 100's also as well as humidity but not as often as we get that temperature with high humidity.
