bloomed with forsythia, looked like bridal wreath from distance?

When the forsythia was blooming in dfw, I took a cell phone picture of a 3 to 4 foot tall, 3 to 4 foot wide bush. It's little white flowers reminded of flattened ranunculus blossoms. The plant me me think of bridal wreath from a distance, but the flower shape is all wrong for the pictures of bridal wreath I've found. Naturally the cell phone pix don't show the flowers in enough detail to help. Might anyone know what this bush might have been?

Isn't the bridal wreath blooming now?
