I have Duranta 'Gold Mound' which is similar color. The leaves turn dark in the winter when they are burned by frost. It's not pretty when that happens and sort of looks like spinach going bad. The gold leaves are returning now but I wouldn't put it in a highly visible spot. Duranta is borderline hardy and a very cold winter could kill it.
