I haven't been to Texas Discovery Gardens.

I would add Clark Gardens to that.
Although more a nursery than just garden, I really like Blue Moon Gardens.

Ladybird Wildflower Center in Austin.
If you've never been in Central Texas in the Spring it's the best wildflower show I've ever seen and I have seen Spring on both coasts. It doesn't last long though; by mid-April the bluebonnets are about done.

I second the Lady Bird wild flower and then you can make a run to Fredericksburg since it's fairly close. There is also a nursery as your entering Fredericksburg from Austin called the wild seed farm and they have a large field planted of wildflowers and a beautiful nursery with a live band and a place for wine tasting. It is a true pleasure to visit. Also the blue bonnets should be in full bloom! Enjoy and have a great tip whatever you decide.

Peckerwood in Hempstead, near Brenham. Only open certain weekends (it's a private garden). Check they're website for special events and dates.
