Do you see any problems with the end of the hose where maybe water doesn't really reach it? I have considered the 75' also since, per foot, that is usually a better price , but I worried that with soaker hoses, I've read about 50' is a better spread of the water than 75'.

I stretched out a 75' Gilmour hose in the back yard the other day, to test for leaks. It was exuding quite a bit of water near the end. Only thing, it's very difficult to tell how much water these are putting out by just eyeballing them. I work little plastic dishes under them, even with the soil, and the results can be surprising. Anyway, I run the hoses down one side of the plants, then double back and cover the other side, which should give some uniformity. (The flat hoses loop back easily, but you have to avoid kinks.)

I've had trouble finding the flat hoses in 50' lengths. They can be shortened with a screwdriver and pair of scissors.

Thanks for the reminder about the pressure regulator, I had forgotten about that! .

Don't forget these gadgets come with either hose or pipe threads. If you're attaching one to a hose or faucet, you want the former, the latter if to a PVC valve connector. Should say on the package.

I love those kind of soakers. They sure are more durable and very easy to put away compared to others.
