Chrysocephalum apiculatum Flambe yellow sunflower

Yesterday, as I entered my Kroger's store, I saw they were marking down several of their plants and, of course, had to go through the lot of them. The majority of the plants were petunias, which do not perform in my garden after May due to the heat. I did pick up a couple of "strawflowers" that looked really good. The labels on them indicate they are Proven Winners Chrysocephalum apiculatum Flambe yellow. They have beautiful silver blue scented foliage and cheery yellow flowers. Have any of you grown this particular plant? I have gone to the proven winners website and read their information, but what I really would like to hear is the experience of other Texas gardeners with this particular plant.
