Does anyone grow Phlox David? Does it do better in some shade or full sun in North Texas?

Thanks

Teri

I have tried several kinds of Phlox, and I think David might have been one. I have only been able to grow John Fanick Phlox and one called Prairie Phlox.

I tried David a couple of times, but I couldn't keep it going. If was not nearly as vigorous as the old fashioned 'Summer Phlox', John Fanick Phlox, First Lady and Robert Poore varities. Those four are the mainstays, along with bougainvilleas, for summer color in my garden.

RE: As for sun ...

Most of the phlox I grow do best with morning sun -- what doesn't -- including us! ... LOL.

But if the soil is kept moist they will take a little afternoon sun.
