Nice find! I'm always keeping an eye out for the Texensis hybrids and rarely ever see them locally. Gotta love Redenta's (both of them).

I would love to find Princes Diana locally or one of the other Texensis hybrids bostedo linked. I had 'Duchess of Albany' once, but moved away and left it.

I do have Clematis pitcheri which is related. When I was about 5 or 6 yrs. old I saw one growing along the ground in a vacant lot on the south side of San Antonio. I laid down beside it and thought, "Here is a beautiful flower growing wild and nobody even notices it." I didn't see it again until I was grown so you can imagine how thrilled I was to find it in a nursery a few years ago.
