Mine did not come back.
I really wanted this plant to do good for me. It never did bloom last year.

The four that I planted in a bed at the local arboretum all came back (east Texas).

Carrie751, Thanks - thought they were usually showing life around here by mid-May, but wasn't sure. Can now remove with a clear conscience.

Taterbug, Sorry you lost yours, though not surprised they didn't return in zone 7 after the winter we had. However, should have bloomed for you unless started from seed. Our 4" container plants and layered starts all bloomed the first year. Should have had flowers with full or at least partial Sun. Last year was weird - ours flowered considerably later than usual, so suppose it could have been other things. Hope you give them another chance, they produce a lot of flowers when not much else is still blooming.

The flowers are beautiful in late fall, but I grow for the scent of the foliage when brushed against. Also nice is that the foliage keeps it's scent when dried to make potpourri.
