Shade Cloth

Hello everybody, first time posting. I have a question about what kind of shade cloths I could use for my garden. I have a few piricicaba broccoli that I have planted and want to help out with the high temps that are coming to Houston. I also want to utilize something for some bell peppers that I transplanted too late. Any advice for a cloth to use? I have seen row covers that are more a white color, and the plastic ones that are more black. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen shade cloth in multiple colors at Home Depot. They sell it by the foot, I think. How do you plan to support the fabric?

Shade cloth comes in % of sun blocked. One will have what crop and use each percent is good for. I have bought from Tec Supply years ago. . I would google "shade cloth" and look through the agricultural suppliers.

Growing broccoli during a Houston summer is ambitious. I would think the heat and the bugs would do it in. is this a particular heat resistant broccoli that I should know about?
