1/2 inch yesterday and 1/2 inch today in Dallas according to my little gauge, and a decent chance for more in the next several days. Nice!

We are getting a drizzle but it is dark out there.I just burned the fallen tree from our 75MPH winds. 5 more trees to go. I need to sharpen some chains for my saw.

Hot and steamy... but I'll take rain!

Here's hoping that the prediction of El Nino coming later this year holds up... That will greatly benefits Texas esp to western half of Texas...

What I am hearing is not the huge super El Niño as some are saying, but a normal and short one and back to more cooling and the dry ol girl again. I guess it maters who one listens too and what tea leaves i the pot they team important.

But they say a nice moist fall and a COLD winter.

We received a little over 0.35 last night along with some pretty strong winds. Not near as strong as the very northern Tx Panhandle - their gusts were clocked at 93mph! Lots of tree branches and trees down up there along with other property damage. Quite a few were still without power this morning.

Hope everyone gets the rain we all need but no strong storms.

We received some of that lovely rain today. I'd estimate about 2 inches judging by the amount of rain in some buckets left out.

When I first read this post, our skies were perfectly clear. A couple of hours later and it was pouring! I could get used to this.
