More than one gold lantana?

I planted some gold lantana in the front of my flowerbed a couple of years ago and didn't like it very much, because it got too tall for the front and was kind of messy looking. I thought it was New Gold, but I may be wrong. I went to the shopping center off 121, for those in the HEB area, yesterday. I can't remember if it was outside of PetSmart or BBB, but they had a gold lantana that was lower growing and much neater looking. The flowers were also bigger than what I had, so it really stood out. Any idea what kind it could be?

There's new gold, gold nugget, Megan's gold, lucky pot o' gold amongst others. My advice would be to buy from reputable nurseries that have New Gold labeled.

Wow. I had no idea there were so many. I was just at Marshal Grain and they had new gold, but it said it got 3 to 5 feet. It doesn't really get that big does it?

I think it can get that big but in my experience it usually start spreading before it can get that tall. You can always hedge it back if you'd like. If your looking for more of a smaller mounding type lantana, look into the Bandana series of lantana particularly Bandana Rose. Its multi colored and mounding.
