Clematis can get blight

I lost 2 this spring. The two that were in bloom. A new gorgeous one with blooms about 5 inches across. Dug it up and took it back to Calloways where I bought it. I did not ask for a refund because it was healthy when I bought it and for 2 months after.
But I did want to know what happened. Apparently they can get blight like a pear tree can! Thank goodness for that late freeze or I would have lost more. These were very protected and bloomed after the March sleet.

I meant to say CAMELIAs. At first I say this header and I thought: Oh No! Not them too! Then I realized that I had written the wrong plant name. Sorry folks.....c

Giggling at: "Oh no, Not them too". We've all gotten names mixed up at one time or another. Gives all a good laugh ... :-) but sorry your camelias are ailing ... :-(

That must have been what happened to my Camellia. We bought one here locally and it did really well for about four months. In the Fall, it became loaded with blooms... I was thrilled! Then, all the blooms began dropping and then, the whole plant died. This was about three years ago and I haven't tried another one since. Sorry that you lost two of yours. They are gorgeous flowers.
