you can use BT for the caterpillars or pick them off, not always easy
a blast from the water hose will shake off the aphids but they just return, use dishsoap, just dilute some down in a spray bottle and spray those suckers, it will also help decrease the caterpillar population.

Good luck! We`ve all been there. I have those dang web building caterpillars in my pecan tree, they drop out and eat everything! Hate them, hate them.

I particularly like Dawn original dish soap. It is not a totally organic way for the veg garden. Vegetable soaps like castile soap areOrange oil is good for ants Google "Organic orange oil Ant drench" or something like that. I found that fairly effective.
