Drip systems are very easy to put in Cynthia. There's several ways to do it but start by looking at the kits they have at HD & Lowes. It basically consists of running a master 1/2" tube down the middle of a bed for example, poking holes in that tube and connecting smaller 1/4" tubing running to where you want it to drip. There are different flow rate drippers, half gallon per minute, 1, 2, 4, 8 etc so you can really customize it for your needs. There's also a variety of spray emitters as well. It's really easy to change one for another if you want more/less water, want to change the location, or want to take a specific line out if you want. Personally I do my drip systems by pieces instead of the kit. That way I don't end up with parts I don't need and can't return, but looking at the kit will give you a good idea of how it all goes together.

The 1/2" tube connects to a pressure reducer (if needed) and in turn connects to your hose bib. Add in a programmable timer and you are well on your way to a whole lot less manual watering. You'll just need to keep an eye on things to see if they are getting enough or too much water and adjust by changing/moving the emitters. Once you get it all dialed in though, drip systems will make you wish you used it sooner :)
