They have been blooming, I will check to see if it is making seed. Are you particular of size or variety. There are many variety. I don't know what variety the one I have is. It gets huge. Some stay small. they come in different bloom colors too.

I was thinking of texas sage, Leucophyllum frutescens, not Salvia leucantha. My experience has been that it is easier to grow from cuttings. The plant does not make many seeds where I live. I don't know why.

Have you tried over at the Salvia forum. Or googling your plant and then seed. Amazon has some.

By the way, Mexican bush sage is not hardy in Z 7a

Thanks wantonamara, I am looking for my daughter. She lives in the Richland Chambers area and I think that is zone 8. She saw the picture on the web and compared it to other salvias and like it best. She also lives in sand and i have no experience with that. We tilled in 2 big bags of wet peat moss and 25 bags of soil conditioner(fines) and the day after a good rain it was moist.
If I had put that much in my flower beds they would have been waterlogged, so any advice would be welcomed.

It is found everywhere in stores in Austin. Maybe nurseries in Waco or corsicana. I see it on Ebay, Etsy, amazon in seed form.
