Jasmine in trouble

Shannon and Raja

This jasmine seemed to be ok a week or two ago and has been watered about 3-4 times weekly and fed with diluted Miracle Grow every month since summer began. In last two weeks there is progressive leaf tip browning, without curling, and no evidence of infestation of any kind. New shoots are appearing but the deep green existing leaves are looking awful as the photo shows. I am at a loss. Oh, and its in a corner on the porch away from direct sun.

What kind of jasmine is that? I have a trachelospermum jasminoides or star jasmine. It prefers full sun and I only fertilize it once in spring and maybe a teeny bit more fertilizer later in the summer if the leaves are yellowing. But that's not to say your jasmine would require the same care. Yours may be of the jasminum family which is different than T. jasminoides.

How much water are you giving it when you water? Maybe the brown leaves are due to fertilizer burn?
